Ops Specialist: IT Business Analysis

Description

A specialist role to translate high-level business plans and requirements into concrete specifications and scoping documents for small to medium projects. The analyst follows Telkom's solutioning process to define how solutions integrate with business processes, products, and IT infrastructure, producing standard documentation and supporting the project through various gates.

Responsibilities

• Project Scoping: Conduct workshops, develop conceptual models (entity, process), establish scope consensus, and compile high-level scoping reports
• Business Modelling: Define entities, processes, and relationships; compile high-level functional and business models
• Stability & Feasibility Analysis: Test business model stability against change, conduct feasibility studies, evaluate RFI/RFP/RFB responses, and in-house solutions
• Reporting & Documentation: Produce standard Telkom documentation for various gates (Gate 1 Scope, Gate 2 Specification, Feasibility Study, Business Case, etc)
• Solution Support: Assist in detailed analysis, prototyping, test planning, user manual compilation, training, and validation of project deliverables
• Communication: Transfer project knowledge to the Project Manager and communicate analysis results with the project team

Qualifications

• Education: NQF 6: National Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or Certificate in Information Technology
• Experience: 3 years of relevant experience, preferably IT-related
• Special Requirements: Ability to communicate effectively with both senior and junior levels within the organisation
